Questions to Ask When Hiring a Cleaning Company.
Is it your first time hiring a carpet cleaning company?
If your answer is yes, follow along.
Hiring any service provider can be a tricky business. There are many service providers in the market, all who claim to have expertise and the best service available. This can leave you feeling confused and stressed out. With so many options, how does one decide?
Look and ask for these key factors.
1) Do they use naturally derived cleaners?
Our carpet holds much of the dirt, dust, mites, and allergens that are produced by us. Because our carpet acts as a net for many of these things, we also need to be mindful of what we use to clean them. While there are many types of cleaning formulas on the market, its important that your cleaning company is using naturally derived cleaning products. Why?
Because carpet holds onto so much from our environment, it's important for our families and pets that we leave out any nasty chemicals. A naturally derived cleaner will ensure that the respiratory and bodily health of those you care about most are safe.
2) How much do they charge upfront?
Getting your carpets cleaned can be an expensive undertaking. It’s important that you get the total cost of a potential cleaning service, upfront. You do not want any hidden costs arising after your cleaning is done, and you want to make sure that your service provider is not charging you by the hour.
3) What kind of cleaning system/equipment do they use?
One of the most important factors in guaranteeing your satisfaction with your cleaning service is understanding what kind of cleaning system and/or equipment the provider is using.
There are many types of cleaning methods - all of which can be useful - that are offered, but not all of them are created equal. For any home, you want to check that your provider is using a steam cleaning extraction method.
If you are enquiring about getting an apartment cleaned, or larger multi-storied space, you will want to ask what kind of portable machine the company uses, and what their process includes. If done properly, a portable cleaning service will follow the same steps as the steam cleaning method, only instead of being mounted in a truck, it is on wheels.
4) Do they have past and present client photos for you to reference?
As we said before, service providers can make many claims about the superiority of their service. But in an industry such as ours, the results are really all that matter. If you would like to see what you can except, ask your potential service provider if they have before and after photos or social media channels that provide photo evidence of their service. Because at the end of the day, you want your stains gone, and a healthy space.
